Donald E. McCoy, 75, of Lewistown, passed away at his home on Monday, August 3, 2026.
Born on Nov. 8, 1950, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Mable A. (Knepp) McCoy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Deborah A. (Shoemaker) McCoy; his cherished granddaughter, Emma McCoy; and his daughter-in-law, Deborah (Hagerty) McCoy.
Don will be remembered by his devoted children, Dawn Lyter and her husband, Ronald, Craig McCoy, and Jennifer Harmon and Charles Harmon, all of Lewistown. He also leaves behind nine treasured grandchildren, Casey McCoy, Jacob Harmon, Kayla McCoy, Jordan Harmon, Jessica McCoy, Ashley McCoy, Hannah McCoy, Sydney McCoy, and Emmaleigh Harmon; and his great-grandson, Mason McCoy.
Don retired from Standard Steel after an extraordinary 52 years of faithful service.
In honoring his wishes, no services will be held.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Don’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
