Dennis L. McClellan, 76, of Burnham, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, at Hershey Medical Center.
He was born on Nov. 8, 1949, in Lewistown, to the late Merle E. 'Butch' McClellan and Margaret A. (McLucas) McClellan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney McClellan.
He is survived by his wife, Debra P. (Nace) McClellan, whom he married Feb. 22, 1976; children, April A. Rowles, of Burnham, Nathan D. McClellan and companion, Jennifer Sprinkle, of Lewistown; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, J. Andrew McClellan and wife, Donna, of Lewistown; and a father-in-law, Donald Nace Jr., of Burnham.
Dennis was a 1969 graduate of Chief Logan High School and attended Grace Covenant Church, where he volunteered with Hand of Grace. He spent many dedicated years working as a foreman at Overhead Door, retiring after a long and steady career.
Earlier in life, he enjoyed singing in the church choir. He loved building things with his grandchildren and spending time woodworking. Dennis also brought joy to countless families by playing Old Saint Nick at Henry's Tree Farm for many years, at the Compass Center (Mifflin-Juniata Special Needs Center), and at various charity events. He had a deep interest in Civil War history and reenactment, a passion he enjoyed for many years.
A committal service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, at Union Cemetery in Mifflintown, with Pastor Barbara Mannino officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dennis's memory to: Mifflin-Juniata Special Needs Center, Compass Community Connections, 31 S. Dorcas St., Suite A., Lewistown, PA 17044.
Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 1st Ave., Burnham.
