Connie S. Nause, 81, of Reedsville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Aug. 19, 1944, in Lewistown, Connie was the daughter of the late John Robert and Sara (Logan) Dippery. She spent much of her life in the Lewistown and Reedsville area, where she raised her family, worked, and made her home.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Nause, on April 28, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Ritchey. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas McClellan of Reedsville, and Nathan Nause and his wife, Karen, of Austin, Texas; her brother, Steven Dippery and his wife, Rosemary of Lewistown; and her two grandchildren, Trent and Levy Nause.

For many years, Connie worked at the Lewistown Shelter Thrift Shop, where she served as manager before her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lewistown and attended the church over the years.

Connie found happiness in the simple things that made a home feel like home. She enjoyed knitting and cross-stitching, and had a lifelong love of dogs. Those who knew her will remember the familiar things that were uniquely Connie -- the interests she enjoyed, the home and family she cared for, and the life she built in the community she called home.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, grandchildren, family, and those who knew and cared for her.

A celebration of life service is currently being planned and will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy., Centre Hall, PA 16828.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the King Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown.
