Zane R. Renninger, 86, of McVeytown, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, at the Embassy of Huntingdon Park. Born Jan. 12, 1940, son of the late Cecil and Mary (Miller) Renninger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Renninger, and an infant sister.
Mr. Renninger is survived by his loving wife, Luvania (Bair) Renninger, whom he shared 65 years of marriage, brother, Kenneth (Charolette) Renninger; granddaughter, Luvania (David Marabella) Renninger; great-granddaughters, Aria Marabella, Lorelei Snyder; and good friend, Todd Pecht.
Zane was dedicated to his career as a diesel mechanic at Noerr's Garage, where his strong work ethic, mechanical skill, and willingness to help others earned the respect of those who knew him. Even after the workday ended, he was never one to sit still. If something needed repaired, he was the first to lend a hand. He served as a lay speaker and was honored to occasionally preach at his local Methodist Church, sharing God's word with kindness and humility. He found great joy outdoors and treasured every opportunity to hunt and fish. He enjoyed watching North Woods Law. In his younger years, he played adult baseball for Ryde, creating lasting friendships and memories on the field. A gifted woodworker, he took pride in crafting beautiful lawn ornaments featuring deer, shelves, dog food stands, and countless other handmade projects that reflected his talent and creativity. He found satisfaction in building and fixing things with his hands and was always happiest when he had a project to work on. Zane was known for his wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh, he had a way of making those around him smile and believed life was best enjoyed with laughter. Above all else, his greatest love was his family. He was a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather who made it his mission to ensure his granddaughter and great-grandchildren were always warm, safe, and happy. His greatest pride and joy were his great-granddaughters, who held a special place in his heart and brought him endless happiness. Zane was beloved to many and would help anyone who needed it, he was a friend to all and will be deeply missed.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 10 to noon in the Heath-Ander- son Funeral Home with a service at noon, Pastor Brian Myfelt, officiant.
