Robert B. Sweitzer III, 61, of Lewistown, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
Born Jan. 17, 1965, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Robert B. Sweitzer Jr. and Shelva Dean (Wagner) Sweitzer.
He is survived by three sons, Gage Sweitzer and wife, Brianna, of Williamstown, Robert B. Sweitzer IV, of Strodes Mills, Seth Sweitzer, of Lewistown; siblings, Jodi Powell and husband, Todd and William Sweitzer, both of Lewistown; and loving nieces and nephews.
A 1983 graduate of Chief Logan High School, Robert went on to serve his country in the United States Army for eight years.
Robert loved simple pleasures like shooting pool, cheering on his favorite teams, and spending time with the people he cared about. He had a way of making others feel welcome, and his easy laugh will be missed by everyone who knew him.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 am., with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
