Loma L. (Walters) Saner

Loma L. (Walters) Saner, age 89; of Mifflintown, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 7, 1937 in Mifflintown Loma was a daughter of the late Blaine Walters and Carrie (Varner) Walters.

Loma was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Mifflintown, where she served as secretary of the council on ministries, the kitchen committee, Sunday school teacher, bible school and the nursing home visitation committee.

Loma loved to flower garden, being out in nature, doing Crafts, Penn State Football, her dogs and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Donald E. Saner, sons, Mark E. Saner and wife, Diane, Todd M. Saner and his partner, Damian Cuevas, grandchildren, Nicholas D.C. Saner and wife, Jessica, Travis M. Saner and wife, Abby, great grandchildren, Mason, Tatum, Kolt, Payton and Luke Saner, brothers, Clifford and Clyde Walters.

In addition to her parents Loma is preceded in death by six sisters and seven brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 4 2026 at 11 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with pastors, Rev. Jonathan Morningstar and Rev. Melvin Fisher officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.

Donations in memory of Loma may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society, St. Judes Children's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital.
