Linda A. Pennington

Born on Aug. 13, 1942, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Dale D. and Ruth I. (Oburn) Buchanan. On May 28, 1982, she married Barry L. Pennington, who survives at their home.

Also surviving are children: Daryl E. Treaster and wife, Kathy, of Mill Hall, Pa., Sheila D. Treaster, of Lebanon, Tenn., Holly J. Kelley and husband, Chris, of Lititz, Pa., 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Barbara Mowery and husband, Sach, Brenda Boring, and husband John, James Buchanan and wife, Georgianna, Dale Buchanan and wife, Anna; sisters-in-law: Bonnie Bilheimer and Barbara Pennington.

Preceding her in death was a sister, Donna Knode; grandsons, Dale B. Treaster and Jared Cardarelli; daughter-in-law, Ginger K. Treaster; brothers-in-law: Tom Pennington and Donald Pennington.

She attended Kishacoquillas High School. She was employed at Fisher Electronics and she then retired from Philips in Milroy.

Linda enjoyed going on cruises, cleaning, traveling with her husband to visit battlefields and going to concerts. She loved doing anything outdoors, including swimming, hiking, gardening and shooting guns. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and doing things for others.

She was a former member of Allensville Presbyterian Church.

A viewing will be held at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 6880 SR 655, Reedsville on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Doug Pierce officiating. Burial will take place at the Allensville Presbyterian Cemetery.
