James "Jim" David Wagner, of Mifflintown, passed away on July 17, 2026, at his home with his family by his side.
Born on Jan. 28, 1945, in Walker Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late John "Ed" Wagner and M. Erma (Hackenberger) Wagner.
Jim was a lifelong dairy farmer who loved the land, animals, International tractors, and his dogs. Jim was a lifelong member Centre Lutheran Church, and the Walker Grange.
Surviving are his wife Trudy (Peterson) Wagner, whom he married on Aug. 17, 1968; a son, Lucas Wagner, of Mifflintown; a brother, Samuel and Ginny Wagner, of Millerstown; a brother-in-law, James and Linda McClure of, Millersburg; grandchildren, Michelle Stewart, Paige Troyer, Logan Troyer; great-grandchildren, Paisley and Sara Yohn his pride and joy; nieces and nephews who were like his kids, Sharon and Kent Hardel, Patty and Kevin Turner, Darren and Wendy McClure, Colleen and Mike Merry; great-nieces and nephews, Kyle and Hanna McClure, Gabe and Kera Turner, Allison Turner, Alec Merry, Vivian Merry; and a great-great-nephew, Oliver Turner.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by, a sister, Nancy McClure; a sister- in-law, Mary Wagner; and a brother-in-law, David Peterson.
Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at The Garlind. 716 Swamp Road. Mifflintown, Pa. Internment will be private.
