Helen Minnie Parson, 87, of McClure, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her home.
Born on Oct. 31, 1938, she devoted her life to her faith, family, and community. She worked as a notary public for the family business for 43 years and, in earlier years, dedicated many years to serving as a 4-H leader, helping guide local youth. Those who knew Helen will remember the genuine care she showed to everyone she met.
Helen is survived by her husband, Lewis Parson, with whom she shared sixty-nine years of devoted marriage. She is also survived by her four children and their partners: Lewis Parson, Jr. and his wife, Melissa; Candace Cox and her husband, Donnie; Timothy Parson and his wife, Georgia; and Mike Parson and his companion, Pam Ammerman.
In addition to her children, Helen is survived by eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Timmy Parson. She was a very proud grandmother who treasured her family. She will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Aug. 1, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. at St. Marks Alfarata Church, 573 Alfarata Rd, Lewistown, PA 17044
