Timothy Alden Bumgardner

He was born on Nov. 5, 1956 in Huntingdon, to Alden D. and Mary (Couch) Bumgardner.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Leigh Ann (Colyer) Bumgardner; his daughter, Krista Grubb and grandson, Nolan Grubb, of Mt. Union. Also surviving him are his wife’s children, Alison (Childs) Longenecker and husband, Daniel Longenecker, of Port Royal, Kenneth R. Varnes and Larry Glen Varnes, both of Mifflin, and grandchildren, Stella Longenecker and Dexter Longenecker. Other survivors include sisters, Janet Winthrow, of Huntingdon, and Cathy Ballard and husband, Donald of Hickory, N.C., along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by a son Timothy (Timmy) Bumgardner on Sept. 16, 2023 and his granddaughter, Chelsea Hoffman, sisters, Donna Russell, Mary (Birty) Clarke, brothers Robert (Bump) Bumgardner, Jacob Bumgardner and Terry Bumgardner.

He was a graduate of Huntingdon Area High School. Tim was a loving and devoted husband and a proud grandfather. He loved spending time outdoors and was a fan of Nascar and WWE. He was very proud of having spent many years working highway construction on the Eastern Shore. He was a very colorful and energetic person with many interesting stories and anecdotes to share.

All services are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
