Susan Ridings

Married to Edward Ridings, on Aug. 28, 1971, who survives at home.

She was preceeded in death by her son, Adam Ridings.

Survived also by her daughter, Alexis Frikkers, her granddaughter, Kendall Frikkers and grandson, Colton Frikkers.

She recieved a BSW degree from Penn State, in 1971. She served as a caseworker for the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare in Philadelphia from 1973 through 1978. She had been active in several community organizations including the American Association of University Women, the Community Counseling Center as the president of the board of directors from 1986 to 1988. She also served on the board of directors of the Mifflin – Juniata Association of the Blind 1987-91. She was the president of the Lewistown Hospital Auxiliary from 1991 to 1993. She also served on the Central Region of the Pa. Assoc. of Hospital Auxiliaries as the legislative chairperson 1994 to 1996.

She served as a trustee of the Mifflin County Library Association from 1988 to 1991. She was a two year member of the Lewistown Hospital Board of Directors.

In 1995 she co-founded the Lewistown Teen Parenting Program.
