Reverend Robert E. ‘Bob’ Fultz Sr.
Reverend Robert E. “Bob” Fultz Sr., 92, of McClure, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his home.
Born June 26, 1933, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Henry E. and Maude E. (Lockett) Fultz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delores A. (Hammill) Fultz in January 2023, whom he married on July 29, 1955; two sons, Robert E. Fultz Jr. and Michael E. Fultz; a grandson, Michael A. Fultz; two sisters, Marie Yocum and husband, Donald, Delores Ritter; a brother, Henry (Buzz) Fultz Jr. and wife, Audrey. Robert was the last of his immediate family.
He is survived by his children, Sandra A. Fultz, of McClure, Beverly A. Rossman and husband, Donald, of Alfarata, Steve W. Fultz, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Adam and Zachary Rossman, Justin, Jeremy, and Anthony Fultz, Crystal Lewis and James Kitting; six great- grandchildren, Adrianne, Hayden, Stephanie, Max, Jayden and Winter; four great-great-grandchildren, Karson, Adalee, Declan, and Alora; brother-in-law, Gerald Ritter.
Bob’s life was marked by service in every sense of the word. After graduating from Lewistown High School in 1953, he served his country as a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked hard — first at American Viscose until its closing in 1972, then as a self-employed contractor, an insurance agent, and a salesman for Electrolux sweeper.
But Bob’s true calling was ministry. After graduating from the Altoona Bible Institute, he became an ordained minister; a role he embraced with his whole heart. He was deeply involved in Calvary Bible and Fellowship Baptist Church, where he especially loved working with children’s ministries. Later, he played a key role in founding New Hope Baptist Church in Middleburg, helping to build not just a congregation, but a spiritual home for many.
