Ralph M. Hostetler

Ralph M. Hostetler, 75, of Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on July 5, 1950 in Bunkertown, Pa., he was the son of the late Lloyd M. and Effie M. (Byler) Hostetler. On Sept. 22, 1972, he married Mary E. (Spicher) Hostetler, who survives at their home.

Surviving are children: Lori and Jason Lichti, of Harrisonburg, V.A., Ryan and Charity Hostetler, of Lewisburg, Pa., Kari and Daryl Bruckhart, of Rexmont, Pa.; 9 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings: Charlotte Clark, of Williamsburg, Pa., Rebecca Peachey and husband, Dennis ,of Belleville, Paul Hostetler and wife, Mary Lou, of Belleville, Rhoda Carson and husband, Rick, of Belleville, Nancy Yoder and husband, Jay, of McAlevy's Fort, Pa., Rachel Groff and husband, John, of Belleville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stillborn brother, Lloyd Gerald Hostetler, a brother-in-law William Clark, and a great-granddaughter, Athena Mae Vogel.

He graduated in 1968 from Belleville Mennonite School and served in 1W from 1970 to 1972 in Kansas City, K.S. He was employed at Allensville Planing Mill for a number of years, and retired from Big Valley Wood Products in 2020.

He was a former member of the Big Valley Ambulance Club.

He enjoyed woodworking and being in the outdoors. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Ralph was a member of the Locust Grove Mennonite Church, where he served as an elder and a Sunday school teacher, and was a member of the Lighthouse Sunday school class.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church, 3358 West Main Street, Belleville. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026 at the same location with Pastors Ivan Yoder and Neil Renno officiating. Burial will be held at Locust Grove Cemetery.
