Cody S. Hackenberry

Cody S. Hackenberry, 30, of Lewistown, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at his home. Born Nov. 11, 1995, in Lewistown, he was the son of Steve Hackenberry and Judi (Morehouse), and the stepson of Suzanne Hackenberry.

Cody is survived by his loving family, including his paternal grandparents George and Betty Hackenberry; his wife, Nichole L. (Sherlock) Hackenberry; and his cherished daughter, Brooklyn Jo Hackenberry. He is also survived by his siblings, Samantha Sath and husband Allen, of Thompsontown; Seth Walters and companion Elise, of Lewistown; father and mother-in-law, Douglas Sherlock Jr. and wife, Dalonnie, of Huntingdon; and brother-in-law, Jordan Sherlock and companion Jessica Stevens, of Huntingdon.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Christine Morehouse, and by a sister-in-law, Daniesha Sherlock.

Cody was a member of Evangel Baptist Church. He graduated from Mifflin County High School in 2014 and earned his associate degree in computer drafting and collision repair from Penn College in 2019.

He worked at several automotive and collision centers, including Hoffman Ford, Stocker’s, Faulkner’s, Brenner Collision Center, Caliber Collision, and Blaise Alexander in State College.

Above all, Cody was devoted to his wife and baby girl, who were the light of his life. He deeply valued his friends and family and found joy in sprint car racing, especially the 305 division.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W 5th St., Lewistown. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Justin Whitenight officiating.

Interment will take place at Church Hill Cemetery.
