Carl Brady Mingle
Carl Brady Mingle, Age 90, of Mifflintown, passed away at 7:56 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Brady was born in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County, on Oct. 23, 1935, to Carl E. “Buzz” Mingle and Mary Ellen (Kennedy) Mingle of Mifflintown, Juniata County.
He is survived by his two sons, Terry Alan Mingle, of Mifflintown; Mark Carl Mingle and his wife, Faith Lynne, of Mifflintown; one precious grandson, Justin Carl Mingle and his wife, Caitlin, of Raleigh, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia Louise (Minick) Mingle, whom he married on Nov. 8, 1959, and was blessed to share 57 years of marriage.
Brady was a 1953 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, a 1959 graduate from Penn State University in State College earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering. Brady was also enrolled in the ROTC program at PSU. He served in the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers from Jan. 25, 1959 to Dec. 10, 1964.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mifflintown, a social member of the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5863, a Legionnaire Member of the American Legion Post 298 both of Mifflintown and was a former member of Rocky Acres Lodge, Mifflintown.
In his earlier life, he worked at John E. Groninger Inc., was part owner of Zemco Inc., worked at Jay Fulkroad & Son’s Inc., and was owner of the family business, 4-M Construction Services LLC, from 1991 through to December 2025.
Brady enjoyed spending time with his family as well as golfing, going on annual fishing trips to the St. Lawrence River, NY and Howard Lake, trips to Florida and North Carolina deer hunting, cutting & splitting logs for firewood on Bell Island, Mifflintown and watching college and NFL football. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5863 in Mifflintown.
The family extends their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Emily Frymoyer and Bonnie Naylor for helping to take care of Brady prior to him going into the hospital January 2026 and to the staff and nurses at Brookline Manor who took great care of him the last days of his life.
A funeral service will be held at the Brown Funeral Homes Inc. 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2026 with Clay MacTarnaghan officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026 at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, North Street & Green Avenue in Mifflintown, where full military burial honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
