Vita C. Aumiller

Vita C. Aumiller, 83, of Lewistown, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at her home.

Born Jan. 28, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Salvatore L. and Rose (Denaro) Russo. She married Richard C. Aumiller, who preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2015.

Surviving are children: Denise Moore of Atlanta, GA, Lisa Hackenburg and husband, Scott, of Lewistown, Richelle Fulwood, of Rockmart, GA, Jennifer Aumiller, of Lewistown; step-children: Russell Aumiller, of Mill Creek, Sharon Grainey, of Waynesburg, Pa., David Aumiller and Tina, of Elizabethtown, Pa.; grandchildren: Megan Fulwood and Eric, Lexi Fulwood, Sarah Fulwood, all of GA, Myron Milliken and wife, Miranda and their children, Eleanor and Salvatore, of Belleville, Kathryn Luu and Brendon, of Norwood, Pa., Brady Aumiller, of Lewistown, Jason Grainey and wife, Alesia, of Kistler, Christopher Grainey, of Clarksville, Teri Grimm and husband, A.J., of Rice Landing, Nicole Ross, of Mount Union, Tasha Harris and husband, Jason, of Mount Union, Zach and Maeda Cramer, Marietta, Pa., Brandi Grimes, T.X., and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Nathan Russo and wife. Barbara. of Manhattan, N.Y. and a sister, Carolina Cawthon, of Hartwell, GA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Natoli, of Seaford, Long Island, and a daughter, August Moore in August, 1959.

Vita was a seamstress at Arrow Shirt Factory, Scotty’s Fashions, and lastly, she retired from Phillips Electronics.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and crocheting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was a Christian by faith.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kirk Nagel officiating, at the Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 6880 State Route 655, Reedsville. Burial will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy. A meal will follow at Big Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 81 Wagner Street, Belleville.
