Shirley A. (Sweigart) Goodling

Shirley was born on June 21, 1956, on the family homestead near Liverpool, a daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (Hoffman) Sweigart. On Feb. 2, 1974, she married her loving husband, David Goodling.

Early in life, she worked as a seamstress at East Salem Dress Factory. The majority of her life, she was a homemaker enjoying those precious moments in life with her family.

Shirley enjoyed time playing on her tablet, visiting the beautiful scenery and Elk at Benezette, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her children, Victoria (Dennis) Shutt and Jason (companion Tara) Goodling; grandchildren, Shawna (Koty) Boyer and James (companion Kelsey) Shutt; great-grand- daugter Awbrei and, coming soon, Peyton; sister, Ruth (Charles) Miller; Sheri (Eric) Barner who was like a daughter to the family; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in passing by her parents; brothers, Harold, Frank, Harvey, Jr., Charles, Robert, and George; sisters, Geraldine Matukaitis, Romaine Klinger, Beatrice Sweigart, and Emma Bordner; twin siblings passed at birth; and her precious dog, Snowball.

A private memorial service will be held at the discretion of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in loving memory of Shirley may be mailed to Turkey Valley Church, 13606 State Route 235, Millerstown, PA 17062 or Stony Run Mission Church, 2825 Evendale Hill Road, McAlisterville, PA 17049.
