Reno J. Nipple

Reno J. Nipple, 78, of Port Royal, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at his residence.

Born on Jan. 12, 1948, in Crossroads, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Joseph C. and Beulah E. (Stine) Nipple. On Nov. 3, 1966, he married his surviving wife, Gail B. (Benner) Nipple, with whom he was blessed to share more than 59 years of marriage before his passing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, R. Keith Nipple and his wife, Gwen, of Thompsontown and Jackie French and her husband, Jason, of McAlisterville; nine grandchildren, Lane French, Lindsey Hamilton and her husband, Tyler, Garret Nipple and his companion, Carly Goss, Nicholas Nipple and his companion, Morgan Decando, Christopher Nipple and his companion, Serina Swartz, Adam French, Cody Nipple, Addison French, and Eric Nipple; four great grandchildren, Piper Hamilton, Cooper Hamilton, Tucker Hamilton, and Maylee Goss; one sister, Lovina Nipple, of Liverpool; his faithful canine companion, Rosie; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Russ J. Nipple on July 1, 2009; and four siblings, Linda Hockenberry, Patricia Jones, Casey Nipple, and Edmond Nipple.

Mr. Nipple was a 1966 graduate of East Juniata High School in Cocolamus.

In earlier life, he was employed as a Surveyor with Local 240 Carpenters Union at Three Mile Island after which he became the Owner and Operator of R & F Pallets in Oakland Mills.

In earlier life, he attended East Salem United Methodist Church and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in McAlisterville.

Reno enjoyed making furniture, mowing, gardening, hunting, and traveling; however, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the new location of the Richfield Life Ministries Church, 53 Mill Road, Richfield with his nephew, Pastor Aaron Benner, officiating. Interment will be private.

There will be no viewing.
