Gloria E. Daubert

Gloria E. Daubert, 84, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on August 16, 1941, in Granville, she was the daughter of the late Howard B. and Curlie E. (Wagner) Steele. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved granddaughter, Nicole Daubert; and her siblings, James “Jack” Steele, Marjorie Siwiec, Virginia Stannert, Barbara Hess, and Thomas Steele. Gloria was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Gloria is survived by her devoted husband and high school sweetheart, Thomas C. Daubert, whom she married on February 6, 1960. Together, they shared a beautiful marriage of 66 years built upon unwavering love, faith, and commitment.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Thomas Daubert II and wife Teresa, Mark Daubert and wife Victoria, and Barbara Knepp and husband Jody, all of Lewistown.

Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jennifer Wray and husband Michael, Stephen Daubert, Elaine Bridgens and husband John, Elizabeth Daubert, Nicholas Knepp, Nathan Knepp and wife Franky, Zachary Knepp, Ethan Knepp, Kathryn Knepp, and Misty Rose and husband Jordan. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Noah, Brielle, Emmett, Madison, Emma, Conner, Paisley, Parker, Gabriel, Ellieonna, Anna, Leia, Jakob, Gabriella, and Anya, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Alongside her husband, Gloria played an instrumental role in the success and operation of the family business, T.C. Daubert Trucking, dedicating many years of hard work and support to the company and the family they built together.

Gloria was a lifelong and faithful member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and cheering on her beloved Penn State Nittany Lions. Above all else, Gloria treasured time spent with her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and adoring great-grandmother whose warmth, strength, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service honoring Gloria’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, with her nephew, lay minister James Steele, officiating.
