Clarence ‘Eugene’ Earnest
Clarence “Eugene” Earnest, 81, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born Aug. 21, 1944, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Mary E. (Spickler) Earnest.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lou Barber.
He is survived by his children, Melinda Earnest, of Lewistown, Bonnie Earnest and fiancÈ, Scott Criswell, of Lewistown, Shawn Earnest and wife, Robin, of Burnham, Stephanie Earnest and husband, Eric Carlson, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Curtis, Caiden, Mason, Brady, and Cody; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda Pauly and husband, Mike, of Strodes Mills, Danny Earnest, of Mifflin.
He was a Lewistown High School graduate.
Clarence worked as a delivery driver for Feeser’s Food Distributors.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching Nascar racing, going to car shows, and he was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating.
Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery.
