Samuel Y. Hostetler
Samuel Y. Hostetler, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a lifelong farmer, passed peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026, with his beloved wife, Sara, at his bedside.
Samuel lived a faithful and humble life as a passionate farmer, tending the land with diligence, quiet strength, and deep commitment to his family. He was known for his steady hands, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to his home and community. His life reflected hard work, faith, and love for the simple blessings of each day.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sara, and their children; Katie Zook and spouse, Samuel, Naomi Speicher and spouse, Michael (deceased), Sara Hostetler, Jonah Hostetler and spouse, Rhoda, Abraham Hostetler and spouse, Miriam, Ephraim Hostetler and spouse, Rhoda, Shem Hostetler and spouse, Elizabeth, Deana Speicher and spouse, Noah, Daniel Hostetler and spouse, Barbara, Elizabeth Speicher and spouse, Eli, Rachel Grose and spouse, Faye, and Nancy Yoder and spouse, Marlin.
He also leaves to mourn his memory, 48 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members, neighbors, and friends who were blessed by his quiet example and faithful presence.
Samuel will be remembered as a man of the land, a provider for his family, and a servant of God whose life was lived with humility and purpose.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
