Dorothy M. Isenberg
Dorothy M. Isenberg, of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026.
Born in Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late George J. and Florence E. (Hartley) Isenberg, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In her early years, Dorothy was employed by Lewistown Trust Company, and later dedicated many years of service to Standard Steel in Burnham, from which she retired.
A woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion, Dorothy was a longtime member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church and the Builders Sunday School Class. She shared her musical talents generously, serving as pianist for the Sunday School and as church organist for more than 50 years, enriching countless services with her gift of music.
Earlier in life, she also served as treasurer of the Mifflin County Chapter of the National Foundation, March of Dimes, and was a member of the National Association of Bank Women.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Highland Avenue, Lewistown, with Pastors Steven Small and Thomas Morningstar officiating.
Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
The family will provide all flowers. Dorothy’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and neighbors who offered support and kindness to her throughout the years.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church (Power Pack Program), 500 Highland Avenue, Lewistown, PA 17044.
