Beverly J. Yoder

Beverly J. Yoder, 92, of Allensville, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Celebration Villa in Reedsville.

She as born on Dec. 30, 1933, in Allensville, to the late Foster J. and Irene M. (Kahley) Wray. On Sept. 27, 1951, she married Joseph K. Yoder, who survives.

Along with her husband, she is survived by children: Rodger R. Yoder and wife, Peggy Ann, of Allensville, Peggy G. Finkenbiner and husband, William, of Lewistown; five grandchildren: Robert âBobbyã Sheffield and wife, Carrie, Kimberly Grazier and husband, Christopher, Curtis L. Yoder and wife, Stephanie, Chad M. Yoder and wife, Jacklyn, Craig D. Yoder and wife, Erica; 9 great-grandchildren: Samantha, Chelsie, Blake, Hannah, Conner, Sadie, Adalena, Noralyn, Camden; two step-great-grandchildren: Jacob and Autumn Lowenstein.

She was the last of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Elva G. Kennedy, infant sister Gladys Wray, Marion L. Keusch and a great-granddaughter, Ella Grace Yoder.

She worked at R.S. Vogt Garment Factory in Allensville from 1960-1970, she was co-owner/operator of Kennedy and Yoder's Grocery Store in Allensville. She then worked at the Allensville Elementary School as cashier/monitor. She later was a school bus driver for 22 years with Updegrove Buses for Huntingdon County Schools.

In earlier years, she enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, sewing, playing canasta and cards and was member of a Canasta Club for over 40 years; more recently she enjoyed reading and word search puzzles.

Beverly was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Allensville.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 6880 State Route 655, Reedsville, with Pastor Mike Sigler officiating. Her family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Allensville Presbyterian Cemetery.
