Neil C. Himes, 73, of Belleville, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on Nov. 10, 1952, in Portage, Pa., to the late Merrell and A. Marjorie (Dick) Himes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela D. (Fultz) Himes on Jan. 7, 2010. On Oct. 7, 2017, he married Jan E. (Kline) Himes, who survives at their home.
Surviving are children: Steven Neil Himes and wife, Gina, of Milroy, Tish M. Fultz and husband, Fred, of Belleville; step-children: Josh Frankhouser, of Reedsville, Courtney Frankhouser, of McClure; seven grandchildren: Taylor White and husband, Adam, Logan Beaulieu and husband, Nick, Cassie Himes, Cody, Addie, Bree, and Clayton Fultz; three great-grandchildren: Gracie and Noah Himes-White and Everhett Beaulieu.
He was the last of his immediate family.
Neil graduated in 1970 from Kishacoquillas High School. He retired in 2008 from New Holland in the machine shop.
He loved the Huskies Sports and most of all, loved his family. He could often be seen in the stands at sporting events for his children, and then later in life for his grandchildren. There are a lot of fond memories with all the vacations, cruises, and trips he took with his family. Neil always had a kind word to say and was quick to lend a helping hand. He had a huge impact on his family and will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held on March 8, 2026, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Brookmere Winery, Belleville. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
