Howard F. Hill, 89, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at Greenwood Village.
Born Aug. 22, 1936 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Ira Franklin Hill and Alice Margaret (Yeater) Sellers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. (Clark) Hill; infant daughter, Susan Hill; and siblings, Wanda Greenaway, Helen Bailor and Alice "Babe" Bair.
Howard is survived by his companion, Mary Lou Kitting of Lewistown; children, Nancy Boord and husband, John, of Newport News, Va., James Hill of Yeagertown, Amy Kuhns and husband, Clifford, of Reedsville, and Matthew Hill of Lewistown; step-children, Holly Bonner of Newville, Kelly Wileman of Granville and Michelle Shadel and husband, Troy, of Lycoming County; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and siblings, William Sellers and wife, Yuriko, of Okinawa, Japan, James Sellers of Lewistown and Milt Sellers and wife, Theresa, of Lewistown.
He was a 1954 graduate of Lewistown High School.
Howard worked at American Viscose and Empire Kosher as a laborer. Additionally, he dedicated three decades of his career to Goss Candy.
Howard cherished every moment with his loved ones, finding immense joy in the company of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a passion for traveling and had a deep appreciation for music.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
Interment to follow at Juniata Memorial Park.
