Clara Mae Williams, 87, of Port Royal died at 4:33 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born on May 3, 1938 in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. Yoder and Rachel (Peachey) Yoder.
On Sept. 21, 1957, she married her husband, Edwin M. "Ed" Williams, with whom she shared more than 54 years of marriage before his passing on Feb. 11, 2012.
Surviving are her children, Veronica M. "Rondy" Ramsey and her husband Steve, of Mifflintown, and Edwin E. M. "Ed" Williams and his wife Cindy, of Port Royal; and she leaves behind four grandchildren, Zach Williams and wife, Schiavon, Jesse Ramsey, Mariah Williams and husband, Jim Grove, and Blake Ramsey. Clara Mae is also survived by great-grandchildren, Ben Williams, Jacob Williams and Sophie Grove.
She was the last of her generation having been preceded in death by siblings, Samuel J. Yoder, Eva Jane Peachey, Kathryn T. Yoder, Glen H. Yoder and Louis R. Yoder.
Clara Mae was a 1956 graduate of Menno Union High School. She worked in various accounting positions in Mifflin and Juniata Counties, with her longest tenure at Juniata Garment in Mifflin.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 298, Ladies Auxiliary Crawford- Brubaker Post 5863 both of Mifflintown, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 925, Millerstown.
Clara Mae was a true sports enthusiast, following PSU football, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and going to the beach at Ocean City Maryland.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025 at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, with Pastor Allen Hulslander officiating. Interment will be private in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
Viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2025 at the funeral home.
