Luther M. Boyer, Jr.

Luther M. Boyer, Jr., 78, of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born June 7, 1947, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Luther M. Boyer, Sr. and Mary R. (Heider) Boyer.

Luther is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Kay F. (Clare) Boyer; his children, Lisa Wray and husband Scot, of Lewistown, Stephen Boyer and wife Denise, of Greencastle, and Michael Boyer and companion Toni Sedoti, of Lewistown; his cherished grandchildren, Hunter Wray, Kenzie Steel and husband Caden, Isaac Boyer, and Brielle Boyer; and his adored great-grandchildren, Kambre and Collins Steel. He is also survived by his twin sister, Linda Sanders and husband Steve, of Cincinnati, Ohio, along with nieces, Jennifer and Susan.

A proud veteran, Luther honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Army.

He was a man of steadfast Christian faith who found joy in life's simple blessings--a morning in the woods, a quiet day on the water, and Saturdays cheering on his beloved Pitt Panthers. He had a deep appreciation for sprint car racing and loved sharing his cooking with family and friends. Above all, Luther's greatest joy was found in the laughter, stories, and moments shared with those he loved most.

Per his wishes, no services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.

Memorial contributions in Luther's memory may be made to: Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. 1013 Mumma Road, Suite 203 Wormleysburg, PA 17043
