David L. "Gravy Davey" Yoder, 75, of Thompsontown, passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on July 7, 1950, in Gettysburg, Adams County, he is the son of the late Thomas and Doris (Mayer) Yoder.
On July 26, 2003, he married his surviving wife, Diane L. "Dee" (Rice) Yoder whom he was blessed to share over 22 years of marriage before his passing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Todd D. Yoder and his wife, Nicole, of Reedsville; two grandsons, Connor Yoder and Colby Yoder; siblings, Jay Yoder, of Allensville, Galen Yoder and his wife, Mary, of McVeytown, Diane Stringfellow of Lewistown, Carolyn Randolph, of Belleville, Rhonda Peck, of Boiling Springs, Paul Yoder and his wife, Connie, of Richfield, Jeff Yoder and his wife, Brenda, of McVeytown, Rick Yoder and his wife, Angie, of Richfield, Don Yoder and his wife, Tracey, of Mattawana, and Mark Yoder and his wife, April, of Lewistown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Henry.
Mr. Yoder was a 1968 graduate of Rothrock High School, and was employed as an Over the Road Truck Driver and retired from Baum Trucking in Mifflintown.
He was a member of the Millerstown Moose Lodge No. 925 and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, watching sports, especially football and the Dallas Cowboys, and in earlier life, enjoyed dirt track racing and sprint cars at Port Royal Speedway.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at the Stoney Run Mission, 2825 Evendale Hill Rd, McAlisterville with the Rev. Nicholas Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Maze Cemetery, Thompsontown..
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Church.
