Richelle C. ‘Rickie’ Demskie

Richelle C. “Rickie” Demskie, 71, of Granville, was tenderly welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on June 12, 1954, in Lewistown, she was the cherished daughter of the late Richard E. and Virginia L. (Whiteman) Fisher.

On Aug. 11, 1973, Rickie married the love of her life, James D. Demskie, with whom she shared 52 beautiful years of marriage. Together they built a home filled with faith, love, and devotion. She was the proud mother of Jason J. Demskie and his wife, Sarah E., of Lewistown, and the adoring grandmother of Laurel R. Demskie, who was the light of her heart. She is also survived by her brother, Jeffrey Fisher and his wife Kay Lynn, of Saint Thomas, Pa., and her sister, Dee Ann Fisher, of Lewistown.

A woman of deep faith and quiet strength, Rickie was a dedicated member of Granville United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. She was especially gifted with her hands and her heart – knitting beautiful keepsakes for patients at Lewistown Hospital, and was a member of the Lewistown Knitting Circle, each piece a tangible reminder of her compassion and care.

Above all, Rickie found her greatest joy in her family. Being a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother was not only her role but her life’s greatest calling. Her gentle spirit, nurturing heart, and unwavering love will forever be treasured by those who knew her.

A memorial service honoring Rickie’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, at Granville United Methodist Church, 1346 N. River Road, Granville, with Pastor Kim Cartwright officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Rickie’s family kindly asks that no flowers be sent.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Granville United Methodist Church, 1346 N. River Road, Granville, PA 17029.
