Marian was employed for many years with American Viscose and Avtex Fibers, where she later retired.

A faithful member of Granville United Methodist Church and a proud supporter of the Granville Fire Company, she was known for her generous spirit and gifted hands--baking pies, cakes, and pepper slaw for family and friends. Each year she delighted in making donuts for Fastnacht Day, often with the loving help of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never missed a chance to call family and friends to take orders for chicken halves in support of the fire company's fundraisers.
