David C. "Bub" Ritzman, 93, of McAlisterville, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at North Ridge Center Personal Care, McAlisterville.
Born on June 12, 1932, in McAlisterville, Juniata County, he is a son of the late D. Carl and Marian (Adams) Ritzman.
On June 11, 1955, he married his late wife, Cornelia (Horning) Ritzman, with whom he was blessed to share over 64 years of marriage before her passing on April 24, 2020.
He is survived by his three sons, Robin A. Ritzman and his wife, Valerie, of Akron, OH, Mark N. Ritzman and his wife, Penny, of Millerstown, and James D. Ritzman and his wife, Tambra, of Thompsontown; six grandchildren, Kurt Ritzman and his wife, Chloe, Holly Beall and her husband, Mark, Christy Krahel and her husband, John, Karis Ritzman, Hannah Schilthuis and her husband, Michael and Elizabeth Strawser and her husband, Brad; five great grandchildren, Ivy Beall, Natalie Schilthuis, Nathan Schilthuis, Hope Schilthuis, and Felicity Krahel; four siblings, Earl Ritzman and his wife, Cindy, of Thompsontown, Jane Cook, of Port Royal, Samuel Ritzman and his wife, Sharon, of Mifflintown, and Susan Mitchell of Gettysburg; one sister in law, Mary Ritzman, of McAlisterville; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Ritzman, Joseph "Joe" Ritzman and Denton "Fuz" Ritzman; and two sisters in law, Donna Ritzman, and Shirley Ritzman.
Mr. Ritzman was a 1950 graduate of Fayette High School, a 1958 graduate of Bloomsburg University, and honorably served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He was employed and retired as a Manager of Data Processing for Weis Markets, Inc. of Sunbury with over 30 years of service.
David was a member and attended Niemonds Independent Church in Richfield and enjoyed walking, socializing, and Bingo.
Closed Casketed Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with Pastor Ron Berrus officiating. Interment will follow at Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville where full military burial honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
