William O. "Bill" Allison, 80, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Embassy of Hearthside in State College.
Born Sept. 1, 1944, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Chester and Thelma (Stuck) Allison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of many years, Theresa "Terri" Rose (McKee) Allison, who passed on Jan. 24, 2021, and by his sister, Verna Snyder.
Bill's legacy lives on through his children: Nicholas Allison and wife Ruth, Billi Allison Hoover, Jacob Allison, and John Allison, all of Lewistown, and Marcus Germano IV, of Altoona. He was a proud grandfather to Amber Hoover, Brittany Tyler and husband Brad, Aleshia Hoover, Bridget Allison, Jonah Hoover, Owen Hoover, and Nicholas Allison, and was blessed with eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Chester Allison Jr. and wife Anna, of Lewistown.
For more than four decades, Bill and Terri opened their hearts and home as foster parents, offering care, guidance, and unconditional love to many children throughout the years, a testament to their boundless compassion and commitment to others.
Professionally, Bill dedicated 35 years to Fisher Electronics, working as a forklift operator. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life -hunting, fishing, and cheering on his beloved Penn State Nittany Lions. In earlier years, he served as an usher at Beaver Stadium, a role that reflected his deep pride for the team. Above all, he treasured time spent watching his grandson Nicholas wrestle, finding immense joy and pride in his accomplishments on the mat.
A visitation to honor the lives of both Bill and Terri will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025, at King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
