Ralph E. Goss Sr., 91, of Lewistown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 13, 2025, at Greenwood Village, Lewistown. He was born in McVeytown on July 10, 1933, a son of the late John J. and Vera E. (Heckmen) Goss.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Ralph Eugene Goss Jr. and Robin Richard Goss, nine sisters, and two brothers.
Ralph married the love of his life Beverly A. Goss on July 12, 1952, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Wendy Goss; four grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and their families.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a medic and was deployed to Munich, Germany, for one year and five months. He worked for the American Viscose Corporation for 25 years before retiring from Standard Steel Corporation in 1997 after 20 years.
Ralph was a devoted husband and father and was a great provider. He was an avid hunter his entire life, beginning at the age of 12. In addition to hunting, he was a gifted woodworker and enjoyed gardening. He was also an ardent baseball and football fan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harshbarger Funeral Home in McVeytown. Private interment will be at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
