Pauline B. Kline, 96, of Lewistown, was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Nov. 14, 1928, in Derry Township, Pauline was the cherished daughter of the late W. Paul and Ruth (Isenberg) Close. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Kline, in 1967 and her sister, Doris Bobb, in 2018.
Pauline leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in her daughters, L. Jill Yeater and husband, Steven, and Tammy J. Marks and husband, Doug, all of Lewistown. She was a proud grandmother to Danielle Smith and husband Zach, Tyler Yeater and wife, Briette, Shannon Marks and Jennifer Grove. Her heart was especially warmed by the joy of her great-granddaughter, Laikyn Smith.
A lifelong and faithful member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, Pauline served her congregation with unwavering dedication. She played a vital role in enhancing the church's beauty through altar flower arrangements and seasonal decorations. Her passion for nurturing others was evident in her more than 50 years of teaching Sunday school in the primary department, as well as her service as a communion steward.
Pauline's work ethic and kind spirit were reflected in her years of employment, first at Rocco's Supermarket and later at Lewistown Hospital snack shop, where she retired after 24 years. She was never idle her hands and heart were always busy. She found joy in embroidery, reading, cooking, baking, floral arranging, sewing, and cake decorating. Above all, she will be remembered for her generosity, her willingness to help others, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met.
A memorial service to celebrate Pauline's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with Pastors Steven Small and Thomas Morningstar officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Juniata Memorial Park.
