Lucille ‘Babe’ Thompson

Lucille “Babe” Thompson, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at the age of 86 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. She was born on Oct. 29, 1938, in Danville, to the late Robert and Francis Haas.

Babe was preceded in death by her beloved son, Randy Taylor, her first husband, Fred Taylor, and her second husband, Cloyd “Toad” Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Haas.

She is survived by her children: Lanette “Lynn” Taylor, Kimbra Stimely (married to Douglas Stimely), Chris Taylor (married to Peggy Taylor), and Cindy Taylor. Lucille was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Babe was employed at Scotty Fashions for many years, where she was admired for her dedication and work ethic. In retirement, she found fulfillment volunteering at the Lewistown Senior Center, where she made lasting friendships and generously gave her time to others. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and playing bingo, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her.

Babe was deeply loved and will be remembered for her strong spirit, kind heart, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.
