Jean M. Snyder, 91, of McClure, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 8, 1933, in Belltown, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd and Eva (Renninger) McClellan. One of ten children, Jean was preceded in death by her siblings: Violet, Miriam, Frances, Mildred, Marie, Cloyd, Glen, Doris, and her beloved twin sister, Janet.
Jean is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, John "Junior" Snyder, with whom she shared a life full of love and partnership. She also leaves behind her cherished children: John D. Snyder and his wife, Patricia, of Mechanicsburg, Jan Gilbert and her husband, Calvin, of McClure, and Jill Sprenkel and her husband, Bruce, of Alaska, her adored grandchildren, Jennifer Snyder, Matt Snyder, Sarah Snyder, Arla Snook, Alicia Viafore, Amanda Wright, Caleb Gilbert, Tahki Sprenkel, Keanan Sprenkel, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McClure.
Jean was a proud and passionate New York Yankees fan, faithfully following her team through every season. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, spending hours with word search puzzles and finding immense joy in cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events, where her support was constant and filled with pride.
In accordance with her wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
