Gaye L. Curdo

Gaye L. Curdo, of Mifflintown, formally of Chester County, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 after complications from a stroke caused by a fall.

Born April 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Emma Eck of East Brady, where she grew up.

Gaye worked for many years at Bryn Mawr Rehab in West Chester before retiring in 2000. A devout Catholic, she volunteered at numerous places and church events over the years.

Gaye's kind and generous soul will be dearly missed (as well as her legendary baked goods- especially around the holidays). Gaye always had a kind heart and encouraging words to offer in any situation.

Gaye moved with her husband, Leo, to Port Royal/Mifflintown area in 2001, where she has resided since.

Gaye was predeceased in death by her parents, her husband, Leo, her daughter, Sherry and her sister Shirley.

Gaye is survived by four children, Jeff Curdo (Beverly) of Brighton Colo., Patty Brooks of McAlisterville, Andy Curdo (Leslie) of West Chester, Maria Haines (Jim) of Lewistown, and son-in-law Donald McIlvaine of Exton.

Gaye is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with the 11 due in November. Gaye is also survived by a sister, Linda Crisp of Marlton, N.J. as well as many nieces and nephews. Finally, Gaye is also survived by her 24 year old cat, Jen who she adored.

Services will be private and held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
