Sondra L. Kerstetter, 80, of Reedsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1944, in Lewistown, to the late H. Paul and Emma J. (Nale) Jamison.
She is survived by children, Denise L. Kerstetter and husband, Scott Searer, of Yeagertown, Douglas K. Kerstetter and wife, Rhonda, of Reedsville, and D. Scott Sunderland of Milroy; granddaughter, Madelyn Kerstetter of Reedsville; brother-in-law, George "Shobe" Kauffman of Belleville; and a sister, Patty Scruggs and her husband Dale of Blackstone, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Betty L. Kauffman and Linda K. Yohn.
She attended Milroy High School and worked as a cashier at Weis Markets in Burnham for 20 years. She then relocated to Bloomsburg and was a self-employed housekeeper.
She attended the St. Mark's Havice Valley United Methodist Church. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed caring for the stray cats that visited her wherever she lived. She also enjoyed spending time with Rhonda's dog, Alvin.
A viewing will be held at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main Street, Reedsville on Monday, May 5, from 11 a.m. until noon, with the funeral service following at noon with Pastor Luke Shinskie officiating. Burial will take place at the Salem Cemetery, Milroy.
