Ronald K. Royer Sr.
Ronald K. Royer Sr., 83, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Brookline Manor in Mifflintown.
Born May 26, 1941, in Barrville, he was the son of the late William F. and Stella (Worrall) Royer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 15 siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine L. (Simonetti) Royer; children, Ronald Royer Jr. and wife, Kerry, of York, Michele Royer, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Kacey Settine and husband, Greg, Lizzie Thomas and husband, Brett, Vincent Buchanan, Alexis Hoy; great-grandchildren, Eva and Camden Thomas; a brother, Ed Royer and wife, Shirley, of Burnham; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
He was a 1959 graduate of Chief Logan High School, where he lettered in basketball.
He retired from Ford Sperry New Holland after 34 years of employment. Ron was a former president at Burnham Fire Company.
Ron loved being with his family, he would follow his wife of 64 years everywhere. He was very close to all 16 of his siblings. Ron was a die-hard democrat. He enjoyed playing pinochle at the Burnham Fire House and enjoyed going fishing. He was an avid fan of Penn State, and loved watching his Phillies.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 1st Ave., Burnham.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 1st Ave., Burnham, with Father Kevin Coyle officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ronald’s memory to: Burnham Fire House.
