Mary Helen Phillips

Mary Helen "Hi" Phillips, 92, of Reedsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Greenwood Village, Lewistown.

She was born on June 6, 1932, in Lewistown, to the late Harvey and Irene (Wagner) Kibe. On Jan. 20, 1950, she married John E. Phillips, Sr., who preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 2015.

Surviving are children, John E. Phillips, Jr. and wife, Darlene, of Reedsville, Linda C. Horner and husband, Steve, of Reedsville, Judy Lee Rager and husband, Bill, of Milroy, and Debbie Jay Michael and husband, Dave, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Tish Maclay, Ryan Phillips, J.P. Phillips, Douglas Hassinger, Jr., Lacy Kuhns, Bryant Rager, and Savannah-Lee Worley; great-grandchildren, John Michael Maclay, Isaac Maclay, Cody Phillips, Amber Smoker, Rylie Schaefer, Dylan Phillips, Landon Druckenmiller, Grayson Lee Kuhns, Gunner Kuhns, Asher Hassinger, Bennett Rager, Elliott Rager, Jameson Worley, Charlotte Rager, and Parker Worley; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Kibe.

She was the last of her immediate family, as she was preceded in death by brothers Robert and Gary Kibe.

She retired from Fisher-Sanyo Electronics.

She was a member of Reedsville United Methodist Church, where she served with the RUM Cooks.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family, camping, having picnics, and going to Raystown. She and her husband enjoyed taking their grandchildren to their permanent campground at Gray Squirrel. She also enjoyed the trips to the beach with her daughters and daughter-in-law.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 9, from 10 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 42 South Main Street, Milroy with Vicar Ruth Ann Kephart officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
