Leah M. Harbst, 79, of Lewistown, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Greenwood Village.
Born on April 11, 1946, in Brady Township, Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Zook) King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Harbst Jr., her stepchildren, John Harbst III and Lee Harbst, as well as her brothers, Lee, Freddie, and Ivan King.
Leah is remembered by her stepchildren, M. Ellen O'Donnell and her husband, Greg, and Tim Harbst, all of Lewistown; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Jesse King and David King and his wife, Arlene, all of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Gary King of Goshen, Ind.
A member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Belleville, Leah found great comfort in her faith. During her time at Greenwood Village, she especially enjoyed playing bingo and participating in resident activities, where she formed many meaningful friendships.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, PA 17084, with Mr. Herb Zook officiating. A viewing will take place at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will follow at Juniata Memorial Park.
