David (Dave) Lynn

Born on Sept. 12, 1967, in Huntingdon, he was the youngest son of the late Kenneth R. Grove and Sarah “Sally” (Minnick) Grove. He was previously married to the former Michele L. Snyder.

He is survived by three children: Andrew and fiancÈ, Erin, Alex and wife, Heidi, and Taylor Grove. He loved spoiling his grandsons, Colson and Emmett Grove. Mr. Grove is also survived by three siblings: Gary Grove and wife, Debra, Sally Prendergast and husband, Steve, and Jeff Grove and wife, Michele.

Mr. Grove graduated from the Mount Union Area School District with the class of 1987. He was very proud to follow in his father’s footsteps as an equipment operator and later General Foreman with IBEW Local 126, where he served for 34 years. In recent years, he was the sole proprietor of Grove Transport, LLC.

His fondest memories came with his children and grandchildren, at the racetrack with friends, car rides with his dog, Boomer, and building powerlines, especially during the “Live Line” days. He shared his love of racing and hard work with son, Andrew; his love for and expertise in powerline construction with son, Alex as they traveled the state together for work; and his fun-loving personality, quick-witted humor and love of their dog, Boomer with his baby girl, Taylor.

Services will be held at the Heath-Anderson Family Funeral Home located at 61 E. Shirley St. Mount Union on Tuesday, May 13 at 7 p.m., with Raymond R. Moore, Jr officiating.

Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
