Pauline M. Glick
Pauline M. Glick, 89, of Belleville, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.
She was born on Nov. 25, 1935, in Cumberland, Md., to the late Harold F. and Martha (McCans) Horst. On Oct. 16, 1954, she married J. Elrose Glick, who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2017.
She is survived by her twin sister, Colleen H. Hertzler of Belleville and sisters-in-law, Louella Glick, Orpha Glick and Helen Glick.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam L. Witmer on March 5, 2015.
Pauline and her husband Elrose raised two brothers as their own, Stephen D. and Thomas J. Fleischer. Early in their marriage, they provided a home for two children, Linda and John Choy, as well as many fresh air children.
She was a 1954 graduate of Belleville Mennonite School. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. She began waitressing at the restaurant in Allensville in 1985. Prior to that, she served as an EMT with Big Valley Ambulance for 11 years. She also served as a quick responder.
She enjoyed going to state conventions and board meetings with her husband, Elrose.
She was a member of Locust Grove Mennonite Church, a member of Big Valley Brethren in Christ Church in Belleville, a member of Mifflin County Farm Bureau and served for 15 years as treasurer and membership processer for Mifflin County Farm Bureau.
Pauline loved serving the Lord by serving others. She enjoyed putting puzzles together. She also enjoyed bowling and was on the Town and Country Bowling League for many years.
A viewing will be held at the Big Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 81 Wagner Street, Belleville, on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Munger officiating. Burial will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery, Belleville.
