Paul Ernest "Ernie" Walters, 78, passed away at his home in Kingston Plantation, S.C. on Friday, March 28, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Born on Jan. 14, 1947, in Lewistown, he was a son to the late John S. Walters Sr. and Pauline (Smith) Walters.
On May 20, 2003, he married Sheryl Clanton Walters with whom he was blessed to share over 20 years of marriage.
He is survived by sons, Phillip (Jaime) and Michael (Nicole); step-daughters, Christine Lee and Ashley McClellan (Bobby); and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Dane and Jim (Patty); nephew, Lynn; and sister, Mary Ann. He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene, and brothers, Donnie, Lester and John Jr.
Between coaching and teaching, he impacted the lives of thousands of children and young adults along the East Coast.
