David W. Felmlee, 76 of Lewistown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at William Penn Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of Isabelle J. (Miller) Felmlee for 51 years.
Born on Sept. 25, 1948 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late John T. and Charlotte (Stayrook) Felmlee. He was a graduate of Chief Logan High School and was a self-employed contractor for over 30 years. His proudest work was being the lead contractor in rebuilding Pine Glenn CMA Church in Lewistown.
David was a faithful servant of God. His belief carried him through his 10-year battle with cancer, spreading His word and love every chance he got. While receiving treatments in Florida, he attended Missouri Avenue Baptist Church in Clearwater. He was also an attendee of Big Valley Bible Church in Reedsville.
David enjoyed attending car shows, working on his '37 Chevy, and vacations with his family. He was a doting grandfather, cherishing the moments he spent with his grandchildren. They were the light of his eye.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his sons, Mark D. Felmlee and wife, Amy, of Lewistown and Andrew S. Felmlee and wife, Jennifer, of N.H.; four grandchildren, Ty, Mya, Austin, and Juliet; sisters, Charlotte Phelps and Shirley Wilson; and brother, Lee Felmlee. David is preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
