Alan L. Houser

He was born on July 24, 1943 in Lewistown, and was the only child of the late Joe L. Houser and Joyce B. Houser.

Surviving are two cousins, Paula Eckley and Jan Criswell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by cousins: Janet Allen, CeCe Wagner and Ruby Dunlap.

Alan was a Chief Logan graduate and furthered his education at Penn State University, graduating with distinction. He was employed at Selinsgrove State School.

In his earlier years, Alan enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling throughout the country. He especially liked going to Florida for the winter to visit with his grandparents, Chalmers and Mabel Bollinger. His favorite trip was to Greece.

He was an avid reader and loved and befriended many cats that happened to show up at his door.

Private services will be held at the Juniata Memorial Park.
