Wilgus M. "Willie" Elliott, 84, of Lewistown, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1941 in Brown Township, to the late Sherman A. and Jennie M. (Wagner) Freed. She was the last of her immediate family, as she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are: children Jodi L. (Elliott) Robinson and husband, Bruce of Birdsboro, William Elliott of Carthage, N.Y., Jami (Elliott) Packer and husband, Doug of Lewistown, and Mark Elliott and wife, Danielle of Lewistown; grandchildren Alyssa Martin and husband, Nate, Nicholas Roth, Anna Bare, Tia Askerneese, Tara Elliott, William Elliott, Jr., Courtney Neal and partner Joe Moschetto, Shaunna Neal and wife, Ashley Minor, and Linzee Deamer and partner Garrett Folk; 20 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-laws: Mary Barr of Lewistown, Sara Elliott of Burnham, and Phyllis Elliott of Burnham.
She was a graduate of Kishacoquillas High School and was employed at the Arrow Shirt Factory and Laskaris Restaurant. She was primarily a homemaker, and once her children went to school, she worked for the Mifflin County School District in the cafeteria. Later she worked at New Holland in the early 70's and in the 80's, Masland (which was later called Lear). During this time, she was also a bartender at the J&B Bar in Reedsville. Later, she retired from Lear.
She was a member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Auxillary.
Early in years, when raising her children, she enjoyed sewing . She also enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes, cooking and baking.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main Street, Reedsville, with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Walters officiating. Burial will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
