Marc C. Fetters
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Marc C. Fetters, of Lewistown, on March 6, 2025, at the age of 60, due to a heart attack. Marc was a deeply beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, who leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories.
Born on July 26, 1964, in Lewistown, Marc was the son of Claude A. Fetters, of Lewistown, and Denise C. Fetters, of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, whose loving influence helped shape his remarkable character.
Marc is survived by his devoted parents and his siblings: sister, Nikki (Rob) Doverspike of Lewistown; sister, Danielle (Dave) Yoder, of Spring Mills; and brother, Derik (Kimmie) Fetters, of West Reading. He adored his nieces Jill, Kristen, Malarie, and Alicia, as well as his two great-nephews, Atlas and Matthew, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
A proud alumnus of Lewistown Area High School, Class of 1982, Marc went on to attend Penn State University where he studied business administration and began his flourishing career in Hospitality Management. His love for Penn State was unmatched, and he was an ardent supporter of all Penn State sports, a passion that brought him lifelong friendships and countless cherished moments. Growing up he attended Calvary Bible Church, in Lewistown .He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 4294, in Burnham.
Marc was the dedicated owner and proprietor of Prospectors Allegheny Rib Company in State College. For many years, he poured his heart and soul into running his restaurant and catering business where he welcomed patrons as though they were family. His warm smile, generosity, and love of food made his establishment a beloved gathering place in the community.
Marc’s love for his family, his community, and his alma mater will forever be remembered. His presence was a source of light, and his memory will be carried on by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Hartzler officiating.
