Florence E. Hartley

Florence E. Hartley, 101, of Montrose, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2025 at Meadow View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born on Aug. 29, 1923 in Lewistown, to the late Lloyd I. And Mary Edith (Zook) Wolfgang.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kerry E. and Toni Hartley; daughter, Donna LaRue Evans, and daughter-in-law, Martha Hartley; grandsons, David (Cristine) Hartley and Terron (Shayna) Hartley; granddaughters, Tina (Casey) Cole, Kelly Crothers, and Kimberly Anne Evans; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy H. Hartley, son, Rodger A. Hartley, son-in-law, Thomas D. Evans, and two brothers.
In her younger years, Florence was employed by the American Visco Corporation of Lewistown. She was also employed by the Foundation of the Blind where she sewed sneakers. Her sewing skills further served her while being employed by the Arrow Shirt Company and the Marlet Mobil Homes where she sewed drapes. She was also an avid cook and had a cookbook collection that was featured in the Lewistown Sentinel.
Florence liked crafting, making her own cards, crocheting, reading, doing puzzles, using her i-Pad, and shopping on Amazon. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lewistown.
