Charles C. Colyer, 83, of Mifflintown, passed away at 5:57 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on Dec. 10, 1941 in Fayette Township, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Clyde J. and Mary (Fogleman) Colyer. On June 28, 1964, he married his surviving wife, Miriam J. (Ranck) Colyer with whom he was blessed to share over 60 years of marriage before his passing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, North Colyer and his wife, Elaine, of Mifflintown; one brother in-law, Francis Ranck and his wife, Betty, of Thompsontown; and several generations of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, John, Dolly, and Bonnie Colyer, Margaret Fronk, Ruth Graybill, Connie Dillman, and a sister in infancy.
Mr. Colyer was a graduate of East Juniata High School in Cocolamus and was employed and retired as an Aide at the Selinsgrove State Center.
He was a member of the McAlisterville United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially to the Caribbean, and also enjoyed baseball, especially the Yankees. Along with his wife, he attended 12 years of the New York Yankees Spring Training in Tampa, Fla. and was very proud of his "Yankees Room" in his home.
All services will be private with interment taking place at Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Oakland Mills.
